The world was recently abuzz about the glitz and glamour of the Oscars, most notably that record-setting Twitter selfie from talk-show host Ellen DeGeneres. But now that that’s over and done with, it’s time to set your sights on the next big thing: The winners of the Glosscars 2014! If this is your first time hearing about it, let beautyheaven.com.au introduce you to this prestigious and oh-so-coveted award:

“It’s that time of year again – Glosscars time. Hurrah!

For those who are new to beautyheaven and aren’t quite sure what all the fuss is about, we hold our Glosscar Awards every year to recognise the best new beauty releases across almost 60 categories. The best bit is that the winners are picked by you, our fabulous members, who have tried, tested and have something to say about the beauty buys you love.

The nominations

beautyheaven invited the beauty industry to nominate award-worthy new products within a range of beauty categories. To be eligible for this year’s Glosscar nominations, products must have been launched onto the Australian market between 1 January and 31 December, 2012 and be available to review on beautyheaven.com.au.”

All the Glosscars 2014 nominees are the crème de la crème (makeup pun not intended) of beauty, so in that sense all the nominees are already winners.

Do you work in the fashion and beauty industry? Do you have a product that you want to get noticed, maybe even get nominated in the Glosscars someday? If your answer to these questions is yes, then it will do you well to work with a beauty PR agency.

We’re proud to announce that one of our beauty clients, Scunci Hair Accessories has won the Glosscars for “Best New Accessory” for their product the “Criss Crosser”, which was recently announced on the 10th March, 2014.

There are many benefits to working with a good PR agency. Of course, you can always read books, attend seminars and spend time on PR websites and blogs to learn how to generate publicity for your product, but there’s no substitute for the skills and experience that a qualified PR agency can provide.

Great Sydney PR agencies like Polkadot PR can objectively evaluate your product, clearly assess its weaknesses and strengths, and find a way to make it most newsworthy and interesting to the public. These reasons make hiring your own PR agency worth it.
