Executive Summary

Naked Wines is an online wine retailer founded by Rowan Gormley which launched in the UK on 1 December 2008.

Naked Wines’ customers fund independent winemakers from around the world, in return for wines at wholesale prices.

The Challenge

Naked Wines is a completely new way to buy wine. The crowd–funded model supports, funds and promotes Australian winemakers, bringing their product to the masses. Naked customers can choose to take part in the crowd funding aspect of the business by opting to become a wine ‘Angel’. The result? Customers get wines at wholesale prices and winemakers get to do what they love and make great wine without compromise.
